"All Natural" Ingredients!

How many times have we read the label "all natural" on products at the grocery store? I am sure, if you are like me, many times. Unfortunately, most of us fall for that fallacy. Here is the trick to get an all natural product: If you add X amount of strawberries to X amount of wheat flour, you have an "all natural" product,  2 natural ingredients in the product. For example: "all natural strawberry shortcake!" Just because the strawberries are natural and the wheat is natural, doesn't make the end product "all natural shortcake;" there are other ingredients that go into making strawberry shortcake, such as preservatives! Otherwise strawberry shortcake would not last on the shelves waiting for us. The invisible hyphen between the "all" and the "natural" is what constitutes this all-time favorite fallacy. Don't be foolish next time you are at the store in front of an "all natural" product: ask yourself how many natural ingredients really are in it! Remain curious my friends!

  2. Is it more trustworthy if it just reads that it includes a specific natural product, rather than claiming to be completely natural?
